Blog Post 1

My name is Jeanette Kelley, I'm 23 and I was born in Brooklyn, New York. I moved to Alabama when I was thirteen and been here since. I have a three year old son name Joshua, who I love with all my heart. I have three siblings. I am the second to the oldest child and I'm the baby girl on my dad side of the family. I have family up North and South. My father side of my family lives in Queens, NY.  I'm the first of four kids to graduate from high school and on top of that, the first to attend college and get a degree. I already have my Associates Degree in Liberal Arts from Alabama Southern Community College. I moved to mobile about a year ago to finish school. My first major was nursing but I always wanted to teach so I went for elementary education. I always wanted to be a teacher but on a higher level, but I feel I should start off with the young and work my way up. I want to make a difference in a child's life if that's the only thing I can do. I use to always play school with my nieces and little cousins. I was the teacher and they was my students.  My mission is to finish school, become the best teacher and work hard to get my students to the top. In my spear time I like to hang with friends and family.I love reading romance novels, talking, Zumba workout, and spending time with my son as much as I can.  I love to attend church when I can and sing in the church choir.

The Randy Pausch video taught me to plan each day, week, and semester. To have a plan so i can adjust it over time. Have a good to do list. I would be easier to break things down into baby step, and doing the hardest thing first on my list to get it out the way. These are some good step and information for me this semester and for the next. I did not know about Randy but it was a good informational video. I also will use the Time Management Exercise website on Penn State University's page. It will be helpful with all the information and good tips. It have a lot of information in dealing with time and how to use it and be more organized.

    1. Zumba is great and is a very fun workout. I do miss New York a lot. I wish I can go back more often but school and work keeps me busy so much. I miss my father and the rest of the family. But one day I'll visit again.

Congrats on being the first one in your family to get a degree. That is a great accomplishment. I have a sister that lives in New York. It seems like a great place to visit. Hopefully, I will get that way soon. Good luck this semester!
